In Person vs. Video Demonstrations

Episode 38: Podcast Recap

Are you team in person or team recorded video? There are pros and cons to each one of them. With technology these days, it has become very easy to record your own videos showing students how to do things. We both like to create demonstration videos and use them to teach our classes. It doesn’t mean we aren’t present though! We can just be in two places in once!

Of course, there is still a time and place where in person demonstrations are a good idea. When students need to see something up close or if you want students to be more interactive during the lesson. There are many different reasons you might want to choose live and in person demonstrations over pre-recorded ones.

But there are also reasons why you might find that pre-recorded video demonstrations helps you out best!

In this episode, we break it down into pros and cons for each – live and in person demonstrations and also pre-recorded video demonstrations. Listen in to hear our opinions. What team are you on? Why?

Keep blending,

Hayley and Laura
