- How to pick a project or topic to teach?
Most of our conversation about this question revolves around the students. They are the most important part of teaching anyway, right? Who are they, what do they know, what are they learning in their classroom, what do they like? These are all things to factor in. Don’t forget yourself too! What do YOU like teaching?
- How to deal with a class who isn’t listening?
This can be a huge struggle no matter how many years you’ve been teaching! We share strategies to deal with this such as how you plan and organize, games to play, and other instructional strategies.
- How do you save a project that isn’t going as planned?
We’ve all been there. A great idea turns into “What was I thinking?!” You have options! There is light at the end of the tunnel. LIsten as we explain some ideas of what you can do to help a student or a whole class deal with the unexpected.
- What do you do when a student goes rogue?!
This always happens when you think everything is going fine and everyone in the class understood what to do. You turn around and BAM! A student is doing the complete opposite or has been turned their artwork into a soggy mess. We talk about how to approach the situation as well as what steps to take in order to remedy it.
These are all problems we have experienced (and still do) over the years and we want to tell you, it’s okay! You’ve got this! Listen as we share some of our own strategies we’ve tried and talk about what has worked for us.
